I think you all know that I adore Jackie O's classic American style, and while I am not exactly a Democrat, Michelle Obama can do no wrong fashion-wise, and Carla Bruni-Sarkozy can rock couture with the finest of the French, I have recently discovered Sam Cam... aka Samanatha Cameron, the wife of new British Prime Minister David Cameron.  I recently read an article in WWD about her and fell in love with her style.
She is a busy mother of three, with a fourth on the way, who will keep her job as the Creative Director of famed British brand Smythson.
She sticks to simple colors and styles, maintaining a classic and preppy look.  And when she isn't in chic heels or flats, she is rocking Converse!
Love, love, love!!
Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend lovies!

How Pink and Fabulous does Kristin Davis look at the premiere of SATC 2??
Love her and her adorable pinkness here!  All of the ladies look lovely though and prove that you CAN age gracefully without a ton of needles and that no matter what age you are, you can always have fun with your girlfriends!

Thursday!  That means the week is winding down already!  Did everyone watch Real Housewives of New Jersey the other night (guys don't act like you don't know what I am talking about!)  How cute is preggers Teresa?  I feel frazzled just by one little lady so I have to give her serious props for handling three mini diva's, one of which has a burgeoning modeling career, and another bun ready to pop out of the oven!  And she does it all in sexy dresses and heels!  Gotta love it!  On that note, she has published a super fun cookbook, The Skinny Italian, full of her own homemade recipes with healthy kicks (sort of along the lines of Bethenny Frankel's Skinnygirl.)

You can snag a copy on for under $12 right now!  Love it!!

On that note... we have our first giveaway!  We will be giving away a copy of The Skinny Italian to one lucky follower!  To enter send an email to or you must be a registered blog follower!  We will announce the winner in two weeks!!

Happy hump day!!  I'm full of random what not's today!

First off, Sketchers has announced they will be coming out with leather accessories (wallets, checkbook covers, scrubs, children's apparel.)  I love my Shape Ups but I can all but guarantee I will not be purchasing anything else!

Kelly Preston and John Travolta are preggers with their third baby!  Congrats to them, especially since she is 47 and they tragically lost their son in a freak accident, AND their two small dogs just the other day in a very sad airport accident.

You can now buy/build your own Jersey Shore doll... for $375..... um what?!
That is all I have for today since blogger is not working correctly and won't upload any of my images (except the Jersey Shore doll, go figure!)  Internet/Firefox/Computer and I are in a fight!!!

Happy Tuesday lovies!  Summer is here, although LA is rainy and chilly and lacking sunshine boo!

I thought I would share a yummy twist on mashed potatoes I whipped up the other night.  Instead of milk, I used fat free sour cream, a few teaspoons of truffle oil, a few pinches of salt and pepper to taste and added in some shredded parmesan as I was blending the potatoes together.  You can add garlic as well, but I think it was tasty even without it!  I know truffle oil is pricey, but if you can get it at a local farmer's market like we do it is less expensive, and just a few drops can give almost any dish (salad, mac and cheese, potatoes!) an extra delicious kick!

Give it a try, you'll love it, I promise!  Does anyone have any delish mashed potato recipes to share?

Hello, hello!  Another new week here in fabby land!  This week is hectic as always with some upcoming work projects (unfortch, not P&F related, boo!) and another cross-country trip!  In the spirit of travel, I spotted this adorable and affordable duffel bag over at Pink and Green Scene!

You can purchase it Lillian Vernon for under $30!! Love it!!

May 15, 2010

If you love J.Crew as much as I do (did... no offense to Creative Director Jenna Lyons, but I liked the preppy J.Crew, this high-end wanna be isn't quite the same... not enough madras!) then check out their sale.  There are some super cute items and you can get an extra 20% off all sale through tomorrow using code EXTRA20 at checkout!

May 14, 2010

Wooo, we have a LOT going on over here in P&F land so today's post is getting the shaft.  Mucho apologies, but we are trying to balance a billion balls in the air and have a bit of a full plate!  Let's give Reese a shout out for being awesome and chic AND a beer drinking gal!
Real women drink beer and rock Ray Bans!  Hope everyone has a fabby weekend!

It's almost the weekend again already!!  Make sure you check out TeamProject360, an awesome brand that is eco-friendly, made in America, and based on each item you purchase, will benefit a specific charity.  For example, I have the "Love" bracelet, which benefits children in need.

It's a good week at Rue La La!  Thursday, the shopping site will feature Lilly Pulitzer, and Friday, Waterford goes on sale!  Both start at 11 a.m. EST.  If you aren't a member, sign up here Rue La La invite.

We also have our first giveaway coming soon!  Get excited!!

We stumbled upon some other interesting/tasty/mildly gross news the other day that we thought we would share.  I'm sure any of you from the East Coast have enjoyed those delicious mini sliders from White Castle (or like myself and a certain L. Barth, the frozen version throughout college.)  Now, you can buy a candle that smells just like them!  This would obviously not be a diet-friendly candle, nor may it smell all that appetizing without actually seeing the burgers.
The candles cost $10 each and all proceeds go to Autism Speaks.  Does this have anything to do with the third Harold and Kumar moving that they are currently shooting?

Hope everyone has a fabby hump day!

Aaaaaand we are back!  Our friend Kelley has a friend who is making some great jewelery for a great cause!  For $15 she will send you one of these adorable bracelets:

Hope everyone has a fabby day!

Hope everyone had a great Mother's Day weekend and showered all the mothers in their lives with love!  Today's post is going to be a short one because my Mother's Day left me feeling a wee bit sicky today and the bebe and I need to snuggle in bed and catch up on our sleep, which was lacking for no apparent reason.  Hope everyone got to check out the amazing Betty White SNL too!

May 7, 2010

I have found an awesome book that I am recommending to everyone - it is called Add More ~Ing to Your Life, A Hip Guide to Happiness  by Gabrielle Bernstein, an awesome Syracuse alum.  She has a very different view on how to handle lots of negative life situations and ties releasing negative energy to several physical activities.  I am usually not into anything that involves self-help (I will NEVER read The Secret!) but this book is awesome and doable!
She also has an awesome networking website called Her Future.  The site allows you to find a mentor for any aspect of your life or to be a mentor.  I'm digging this!

Hope everyone has a fabby weekend!

Happy Thursday lovies!  Today's post starts with an item that I am currently coveting... the Preppy Pink Mini Notebook computer from HP!  How cute is this comp?  Granted, I have learned that you shouldn't buy a computer because it looks adorable, but come on!!

It will be available starting June 15th and will retail for $355.  Love it!

For all of the children/fashionista in yourselves Christian Louboutin has brought us... a Barbie, complete with a set of various mini Loubs!!

The doll has sold out almost everywhere, but you can still snag some on Amazon and Ebay for close to $200.00.  Almost worth it, considering the price of actual Louboutins!

Hope everyone enjoyed their Cinco de Mayo and has a wonderful day!

May 5, 2010

Hi lovies! We have quick survey for the store that we would love, love, love for you to take if you have five minutes to spare!  Pink and Fabulous Survey

Happy Cinco de Mayo!  This used to be one of my favorite holidays to get out and drink margaritas while dancing/stuffing my face with chips and guacamole all night.... then I had a bebe :)  Did you know that the average dinner at a Mexican restaurant (one or two blended margaritas, chips and guacamole, enchiladas, etc.) is 2300 calories and 76 grams of fat?!  Ummmm... scary!  Since the hubs works super late tonight, I decided I would spend this May 5th having a healthier celebration with la bebe.

First stop, Skinnygirl Margaritas!  These can be bought pre-bottled (go to to find locations) or you can make them yourself using the following recipe:

Skinnygirl Margaritas
2 oz. clear premium tequila (Patron)
Splash of orange liquor
Juice of 4 fresh lime wedges
Mix all together over ice
*To make a frozen version, just blend with ice in blender

Margarita Cupcakes
(makes 24 cupcakes)
3 sticks butter, softened (I use ICBINB Light)
2 cups sugar in the raw
4 large eggs, room temperature, plus 1 large egg white
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 3/4 whole wheat flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons salt
3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons soy milk
Grated peel of 4 limes
1/4 cup lime juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
2 tablespoons tequila
1 drop green food coloring
1/2 cup large sugar crystals
24 lime wedges

*Preheat oven to 350 and put cupcake liners in cupcake pans
*Beat 2 sticks butter and granulated sugar with electric mixer until creamy.  Gradually beat in eggs, egg whites and oil.  scrape down the sides of bowl and mix again.
*In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda and 1 teaspoon salt.  In a large measuring glass, stir together milk, 2 tablespoons lime juice, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract.  On low speed, mix in 1/3 wet mixture, then 1/3 dry mixture, repeat and end with dry mixture.  Mix in 1/2 of the grated lime peel.
*Feel each baking cup liner 3/4 full with batter.  Bake about 25 minutes, or until a toothpick in the center comes out clean.  Let cool completely for 30 minutes.
*Meanwhile for the frosting, using the electric mixer, beat the remaining stick of butter until creamy.  Beat in 1 cup confectioner's sugar, tequila, remaining lime juice, lime peel, 1 teaspoon salt and food coloring until smooth.  Beat in the remaining 1 1/2 cups confectioner's sugar one-third at a time.
*Spread the frosting on the cooled cupcakes and rim with the large granulated sugar.

Low-Fat Mock-a-Mole
1 avocado, peeled, pitted and mashed
1 cup cooked green pees
1/4 cup chopped fresh tomatos
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro, plus more for garnish
1 tablespoon chopped red onion
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
2 teaspoons fresh lime juice
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
3/4 teaspoon Tabasco sauce

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and blend with an immersion blender until smooth.  Garnish with cilantro.  Service with multi-grain tortilla chips and raw veggies.

Cheers to a fabby day!

Last night was one of the biggest fashion event's of the year (and one of my fashion faves!) The Met Costume Institute Gala.  This year's event focused on American Style, a theme I thought was fitting for getting us out of this recession and back to our made-in-America roots.  I drool over the amazing gowns every year.  Here are my faves from last night's event:

Anne Hathaway in Valentino
She can do no wrong, especially when it comes to a little sparkle
Brooke Shields in Michael Kors
Look at those arms!  Classic American style!
Camilla Belle in Jason Wu
Can't you just imagine Mrs. O in this one too?
Diane Kruger in Calvin Klein
Clean and classic!
Gwen Stefani in L.A.M.B.
Love the dress... not feeling the hair
Jessica Alba in Sophie Theallet for Gap
She isn't usually one of my favorites, but this is my #1 for the night!
Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad
Loves it, although it looks like something Anne H. or T. Swift has already worn.
Katy Perry in Cute Circuit
It is pink and it lights up... need I say more?
Naomi Campbell (not sure who she is wearing)
This dress is fierce!  Well, so is she!
Sarah Jessica Parker in Halston
SJP is a fashion rockstar.  Enough said.
Taylor Swift in Ralph Lauren
This dress is a "love story."

Maybe someday we will get to see it all first hand!

Another Monday, another hopefully warm and wonderful week full of sunshine and if we are all really lucky... beach!

In some happy celeb/beauty news, Cover Girl has chosen Taylor Swift as their new spokeswoman.  How can you not like T. Swift?! She is adorable, hardworking, and seems like a sweetiepie!  Those Jonas boys don't know what they're missing!
Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday!

Foods that flatten your tummy... according to this month's issues of Glamour magazine there are five tummy flattening foods:
  • blueberries
  • asparagus
  • salmon
  • watermelon
  • citrus fruit
And then there are those items that cause bloating:
  • alcohol
  • soy sauce
  • canned soup
  • popcorn
  • dried fruit
Looks like we will be quitting our popcorn and dried fruit addictions.... but we will never give up our wine!!

So in today's bit of exciting celebrity news Mariah Cannon and Nick Cannon walked down the aisle... again.  Their vow renewal ceremony (to celebrate their second anniversary) marks their third wedding ceremony.  Call me crazy, but how many weddings does one couple really need?!  Here is the real icing on the cake - as a present, Nick Cannon gifted his missus with a diamond and pink sapphire encrusted... wait for it.... ring pop.  As in, it can hold a lollipop.  I am all for extravagance but this one is leaving me befuddled.

Happy Derby Day lovies!
