Friday Randomness

Just a little Friday round-up/randomness for you all....
Children's bedding sale at Target + need to get all new things for Avery's room = happiness!
New sham, comforter, two sheet sets and wall stickers for under $50 total!

Found these adorable birthday invites at AC Moore for someone's THIRD birthday party! Although 99% of the attendees will be grown up's...

My little puppy and her toy twin.  I'm pretty sure they are now bff and that puppy thinks she needs a pink rain coat (girlfriend HATES the rain messing with her do!)

Found this tutorial on Little Miss Momma and tried it! Love the pom pom necklace! I obvi had to make it in pink and gold!

I got these pale pink Vera Wang flats at Nords and I am kind of obsessed with them.  I'm pretty positive they match pretty much everything... right?

TGIF! Happy weekend lovies!

Beauty of the Week: Glycolic Peels

The first time I was preggo (three years ago!) I became addicted to glycolic peels.  I think I got lucky the first time and my skin got really good during pregnancy and the peels just added to it.  On a side note - this time not so lucky.  My derm told me I could use some lasering on my face post-baby (WTF!)  Anywho, I quickly became addicted to masks and peels in particular, mostly because it gives you the same effects of a facial for a lot less money and in the comfort of your home.  And, if you're like me, you can way overuse the products (try not to! it can have reverse effects!)

This was my product of choice three years ago due to my lovely Neiman Marcus work discount...

I am pretty obsessed with Natura Bisse anything.  Their products are phenom and they always seem to have such intelligent and friendly people working for their brand!  Clearly, the $245 price tag on this is much more significant than when it was more like free so I have moved on. (sad face)

I have been using some cheapie beta hydroxy/glycolic things I got a Kohl's purely because they cost $30. I have been using them twice a week and they are ok.  No major effects from them and I couldn't find them anywhere online to show you all.  So I am on the hunt for something better.

I recently tried these Trish McEvoy beta hydroxy pads.  They're supposed to be used only twice a week (I tried to get the girl to say I could use them more but she said no!) and are under $100 I think.  I didn't get them, but I am thinking about it since my skin felt noticeably smoother after one usage.

I have been doing some research online and these products all look pretty interesting:

Looks intense... sign me up!

Found these on a random site online, they start at only $30 and move up in price with intensity

I love Kate Somerville products, they are just a little pricier

Seems small but might be worth a shot.

Happy peeling!

Pregnant Celebs

I'm the first to admit I get the majority of my fashion/style inspiration from celebs on tv, in magazines, on gossip sites, etc.  So being a preggo lady myself, I have been looking for inspiration from those both currently pregnant and old pics.  Here are some of my favorites...

Clearly Rachel Zoe is the QUEEN of maternity fashion. No one can top her!

Kourtney Kardashian was also one of my top preggo celebs because she totally embraced it and didn't let it cramp your style.

And then there is this...
Which is probably how I look 99% of the time.

Moral of the story... wear lots of black (it's slimming and if you're like me, you're preggo EVERYWHERE) and DON'T HIDE IT! Embrace it! Figure hugging outfits are totally ok right now! You are allowed to flaunt this! On the same note, mumu-ish dresses can work too, as long as they are flowy all over (see Angelina).  You don't need to be in sassy dresses and high heels all day but enjoy yourself - this is the time you're fully allowed to be fat and no one can judge!  If I can find some more maternity stores in the Philadelphia area I will be doing that!

Fall Necessities

I have spent way too much time browsing online (maybe in store too) for fall goodies.  Here are some of my favorites...
Time for a new black bag with straps for carrying multiple ways

I have been coveting this coat on Piperlime (it's under $100) but it hasn't restocked yet :(

Pink denim.  Enough said.

My bestie found this on Nord's website and it's half off!

I have been eyeing this at Nordies as well and I think it is half off now too! Capes are a must this fall!

Couldn't find a pic of these anywhere and they didn't have them in my size in store.  They are Ralph Lauren.  The color is perfection!

Tucker. Leopard. Perfect combo!

What's on your fall wish list?

Colorado Weekend Recap

We spent the past few days in Beaver Creek, Colorado for Lauren's wedding... it was SO fun! I never thought I would be a fan of anywhere somewhat outdoorsy (I called the Ritz camping because it was soooo close to nature) but I became OBSESSED.  It is amazing there! You NEED to go!  The wedding was so fun and it was great to spend a weekend with some of the world's most fun people on a mini-vacay!  Here is a small little photo recap...

Every hotel room should come with a fireplace.  Best. Thing. Ever.

Me and Laur (her dress was TDF!)

Pink dresses were so fun!  And prom poses made an appearance of course!

The view from some early am yoga (Laura is an amazing instructor! I would take any class she taught!)

Just a mom and her baby bear cubs crossing the street by the hotel...

Airplane outfit #1 (we left at 4:30 am, drove two hours to the airport, flew for four then drove for two more.  Comfort was KEY)
Top: Pea in the Pod
Leggings: same
Shoes: Gap roll up's
Sunnies: Marc Jacobs
Bag: Louis Vuitton

Plane outfit #2 (this was also at 4:30 am with two hour drives bookending a four hour flight.) I had reached the ultimate laziness at this point.
Top: Michael Stars
Leggings: Pea in the Pod
Sneakers: Addidas
Scarf: TJ Maxx

I was slightly obsessed with Lauren's pink shoes!

And a few quick pics from the Ritz.  The ladies of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills were here in the last two episodes (they came to the hotel for dinner one night.)  The above picture is the grotto aka heaven aka the pirate ship in the end of Goonies.

I'm so going back! How was your weekend??

Hey Lauren Rene
