This and That

Warning: Brain Dump ahead.  Sometimes at all times I have a million little thoughts running through my blonde brain and am always itching to share them with someone.  Hence, how my little bloggy blog came to be.

I am so into the Gap lately.  They have some awesome tee shirts on sale online and in stores right now.  I scooped these up not long ago and have been wearing the bejeez out em.

I also got this striped dress.  I'm pretty sure everyone else in the blogosphere did too.  Totally worth it though.
I have been coveting this Alexander Wang Prisma tote bag since I spied it at Neiman Marcus.  The white one is on sale on the Alexander Wang website currently and I am lusting big time.

I have been on a home organizing spree lately (sorry Josh!) and we made our dining room into a temporary play room until our basement is re-finished.  RIP fancy shmancy dining room.  Hello new organizing project!  Pottery Barn Kids has these fantastic bins on sale right now and I think they would be perfect for dumping carefully putting away all the toys in.
Finally, I am loving living near NYC and all of the theater (hellooooo Broadway.)  It's so fun to go see plays and one of our close friends is currently IN this fabulous show called "Have I Got a Girl For you."  Here is the synopsis:

"How does a newly sober gay musical theatre actor rebuild his life after rehab? He gets a job running a female escort agency of course! The hilarious true story of the most unlikely new member in the oldest profession. Appearing at FringeNYC this summer."

Sounds so entertaining and I can't wait to see it!  Make sure you go to their Facebook page here for more details!

Don't forget to shop my Stella and Dot trunk show here to be entered to win these earrings!

All sale items are an extra 20% off right now too! Shop away!

What's Going On...

Summer is here people! Wooooooop! Now I need to break my pool v.... you get the hint.  I haven't made it to the pool by myself with the kiddos quite yet.  I was so brave at doing things with one child, but with two... let's just say, mama has FEAR people.  Want to know what also invokes massive fear in this lady? Flying by myself with a five month old and three month old.  This (legitimate) fear led me to book a flight the day before a trip to Florida with my parents and sans hubby last week.  Love my babies, but these kind of situations make a mama need some vino!

So we got there in one piece and had a blast splashing in the pool, eating icecream and strolling the beach hunting for seashells...

Avery also discovered a love of shaved ice (all you Philly peeps know it's water ice!) and the effects of brain freeze...

We made it back in one piece with the help of our grandparents...

And now I am on the hunt for some cute beach towels and prepping to brave the pool!

Baby Gear

Sometimes it's nice to take a moment and talk baby gear.  Now, I know many of you may not have babies or may have a babe or two so I apologize if this is not a topic of current interest.  I, however, have spent the better part of the last four years purchasing, using and abusing loving or hating a LOT of baby gear.  I was the first of my friends to have a child so I like to think I know a thing or two on the subject, BUT I have learned SO much from my friends!  Recommendations are the way to go when it comes to this stuff!  Without further ado, here are some of my favorites since having Greyson...

The Nap Nanny.  Best invention EVER.  Greyson slept in this thing for the majority of his first four months.  They're from Berwyn, PA my hometown!

The last two items are by Aden and Anais.  They are a little pricey, but they sell them at Target now and they are worth every penny IMHO.  I love the burpy bib because you can put it on your messy eater then immediately use it to clean them off.  They blankets are great for swaddling, changing diapers, burp cloths, etc.  Love!

Are there are any baby products you can live without or highly recommend? Let me know because I love hearing it!

This Week...

Happy Monday loves!  We had such a busy week/weekend! It was a whirlwind, but SO much fun!

Friday was Avery's last day of her first year of pre-school *tear*. Girlfriend partied up with her little ladies, chowing down on brownies and popsicles.

Saturday morning we packed up and headed to Maryland to visit my husband's sister for her daughter's baptism (she and Greyson are three weeks apart!)  It was so fun to watch the babies and our toddlers play! Cousins are fabulous and we are so lucky to have kids the same ages to grow up together!

Of course, no trip would be complete without Maggie.  This dog loves a road trip!

Finally, I hope everyone had a wonderful Father's Day with their own baby daddies and fathers!

Awkward photo?  Ha!

And some baby face for good measure!  I hope you all have a wonderful week and don't forget to shop my Stella and Dot trunk show here to enter for a chance to win the earring giveaway!

Your Little Lady Will LOVE This!

One of my closest and most loved girlfriends is part of the brilliant team behind Flying Buttress bags so I had to share a little about them here.  And, no, this post is NOT sponsored!  The Flying Buttress brand is a fantastic idea aimed at tweens, although my three year old definitely was getting her grubby little paws all up on my Mac to pick one.  You pick a base (a laptop case or handbag, for example) then you chose one or multiple panels and snap them on!

Here are mine and Avery's favorite bases...

And here are our favorite panels...
How cute are they? You can change them out based on your mood or outfit!  Such a fun and fashionable idea!  Totally okay for a momma to use too right?

Pop over to their site and have a look around!
