Workout Wednesday

This week has been not my best one.  I took an entire week off from working out to get over this nasty cold, and while I am not back to 100 percent I have managed to start back in slowly.  For some reason, I can never get right back to where I was when I take a little break and have to ease back up to it.  Is it like that for anyone else? I have also not done yoga in a few weeks and definitely miss it.  I spotted this bad boy on Pinterest, and while I generally don't do that whole fitness motivational quote thing, I really liked this.

I love yoga and I love running.  I'm a cardio junkie and as hard as I try I can't quit, but I can do it a little more moderately and try to mix it up with some more weights and bendies.

Even being sick and eating I didn't gain any weight (knock on wood) and I would like to go ahead and give all the credit to my newest obsession, the Fit Bit.  I. Am. In. Love.  Thanks to Beantown Prepster this has become a huge part of my daily routine.  You clip it on a shirt, bra strap, waist band, etc. and go about your day.  You set personal goals and try to beat them.  It measure steps, miles walked, calories burned and flights of stairs climbed.  I downloaded the app to my phone so I can look at my stats there, on the computer or on the device.  It is a lot harder to take 10,000 steps a day than you realize!  I just hope I can stick with it (cricket.)

That's all for this week! Hopefully next week I will be in better shape - ha!

  2. Happy you're feeling better to start working out again...it's totally hard to get back into the swing of things! Never heard of that fit bit thing....I like the idea of it. I feel like I take 5000 steps just feeding these kids lol.

    1. Ha! True! The majority of my steps are spent child-chasing!

  3. Oh I need to get a Fit Bit- that sounds great. If I take a week or two off, I'm totally screwed. That's why I'm so scared of how I'll get back into working out post pregnancy. I've been walking 1-3 miles pretty much every day but that is nothing compared to how I used to work out.

    1. The fact that you are still working out while you are pregnant is awesome! I did that and I swear it made my delivery SO easy and my recovery super fast! It took a while to get back to where I had been pre-preggo workout-wise, but it's worth it :)
