Around the House: An Organized Closet

It's an organized Thursday today loves!  I spent a large chunk of time this week getting my closet organized... FINALLY!  It only took me a year.  I posted a picture of it a little while back...

Yeah.  Not my finest work.  I pretty much tossed everything in there and went on my merry way. Now that we are getting our office together, it made it much easier for me to get in there and get things organized.  Oh yeah, my closet is in our office.  There are no closets in our bedroom.  Weird, but it works.   Onto the new and improved, and most importantly, FUNCTIONING closet!

I have my flats on the back of the door.  The bottom half of the shoe holder has belts and pins are pinned to the side.

I moved this shelf from our office in.  My long sleeve and short sleeve tee shirts are folded and stacked on it.  The pink bin holds small accessories such as extra wallets and sunglasses.  My workout tops and bottoms are in the large tan bin.

One half of the closet is shirts organized by style and then by color.  I have skirts organized by color and dresses as well.

I used shirt organizers from Target to store my purses so they stand upright.  They mostly flop over but for the most part it keeps them up and not smushed.

The rest of the shirt organizers are used for sweaters and sweat shirts.

I use a hanging organizer for my shorts and pants.

The green bin on the floor holds my clutches and small handbags.

Large hooks on the wall hold my hats and long necklaces.

There you have it!  Here are my sources:

Shelf - Ikea Expedit
Bins - all from Target
Shirt shelves - Target
Hanging organizer - Target
Black hangers - Costco

How do you organize your closet? Please share any tips and tricks!

Have a fabulous day!

  1. You really make it appear really easy along with your presentation but I find this matter
to be really one thing that I think I'd never understand. It sort of feels too complicated and very extensive for me. I am looking forward to your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
