Mother's Day Weekend

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day celebrating their mom's and with their families!  We had a very low-key day wandering around NYC, shopping and eating.  It was perfection!

Btw... our Nespresso may have been the best purchase to ever happen to our kitchen.  I can't say enough good things about it!

On Saturday night things got realllll wild.  I busted out these cookbooks that arrived earlier in the day.  I basically earmarked every recipe in each book that I have gotten through so far.  Everything sounds and looks delicious!

My parents sent me a fruit bouquet, which the four of us nearly demolished in an evening.  I think I might like my bouquets edible!

Avery gave me a Mother's Day card she made at school and I keep cracking up reading it over and over.  I help her take care of her brother and get her snacks.  Glad to know I am somewhat useful ha!

The train station is a short drive from our house and then a 10 minute or less train ride in to the city.  I love being so close to NYC but having the suburbs too.  Avery loves, loves, LOVES the city but after some walking this is how she usually looks...

Despite her grumpy face she scored some adorable sandals at JCrew and got to go to the Counter, which was one of her favorite places to eat in LA.  She literally posed with the menu.  This girl.

I'm thinking it will be a couple more years until we can go to a nice brunch considering Greyson will not stop wiggling/throwing things/yelling at restaurants without an iPad.  We also had to make a quick Buy Buy Baby stop to grab more of his blankies.  This guy.

I had a veggie burger on a gluten free bun and parmesan, rosemary, olive oil french fries. It. Was. Amazing.

Our night ended with a train ride, which is like the greatest thing in the world for my kiddos.  They both love trains, especially the double decker ones.  Since we don't have to pay for tickets for them yet I think it is definitely a win-win.  As long as I don't have to do it with them by myself... without wine.

So that was our weekend and it was perfect! I also FINALLY finished our hutch for our kitchen and we got the play room, living room and our office largely put together!  I can't wait to share them all with you and get advice!  Have a fabulous week!
