Taste: Roasted Chickpeas

Roasted chickpeas maybe my new favorite food item (sorry cheese!)  These roasted garbanzo beans are delicious as croutons on salad, or roasted with cauliflower, or on their own as a savory snack!  They are so super easy to make too!  Sorry for the lack of a better picture!  I love Pinterest and all of the delicious goodies it spawns!

{  Ingredients  }
1 can garbanzo beans/chick peas
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt to taste

{  Directions  }
-Preheat oven to 375
-Wash and peel garbanzos
-Dry garbanzos (I lay them on a paper towel for several minutes)
-Toss with olive oil and salt to taste
-Lay evenly on a baking sheet
-Bake for 35-40 minutes until brown and crispy

I literally eat a handful of these or toss on any salad and feel like doing a happy dance.  So tasty, easy and yummy!

  1. I am a chickpea addict! I'm notorious for eating falafels with hummus and more chickpeas sprinkled on top! I'll have to try these

  2. I saw this on Pinterest and have always wanted to make them! Do you have to peel the ones in the can too?

    1. The worst/hardest part of the whole thing is peeling them. Even the canned ones need to be peeled. I just pop them between two fingers and they come right off. It takes about five-ten minutes for a can.
