Life: Weekend Recap

First and most important fact about this weekend: we used our fireplace for the first time this season.  Holla! (because that is holla-worthy in my book.)  My awesome husband also let me sleep ridiculously late, even though Greyson tried his best to stop that from happening.  How? By driving Matchbox cars up and down my arms for a solid 15 minutes.  We also had our first family movie night aka we all watched a kid's movie aka Avery watched and Josh and I fiddled around on our computers/phones/ipads.  Pochahantas is not as compelling as it was to me twenty years ago.  We went for a fall trip to the zoo and saw snow, yes SNOW.  I was so not prepared for this when we left California.  Luckily, I was able to get a girls' night in (always a necessity), sip some delicious sangria, and be the last men standing at a children's birthday party where the parents may have had a bit too much fun ifyouknowwhatimean.  Wine is what I mean if you don't.

*yes that is a cat watching my child brush her hair.

I tweaked a new recipe for gluten-free crusted tilapia and gluten-free french toast, both of which made me so happy that I stuffed my face with gluten all Sunday night.  Win!  Other highlights included a rage-free shopping trip to the toy store and meeting blog friends in real life!

Have a fabulous week!
