Life: Weekend Recap

Happy Monday lovelies!  Did you all get snow this weekend?  We got some but definitely got off easier than a lot of other places.  We had such a busy weekend but it was so fun! I love squeezing in a ton of stuff!  We had a quick trip to my parents' house for a baby shower and my mom treated Avery and I to a much needed mani/pedi.  I literally haven't had one since May (insert shame and bad cuticles here.)

I got Essie's Miss Fancy Pants and it may be my new favorite color.  Avery went with some Minnie Mouse polish and sweet designs.

We hit up DSW because there isn't one near me.  That place is like a black hole, it sucks you in and you end up leaving with way too many pair of inexpensive shoes.  Oops!

We got takeout from Jule's Pizza because they have the best gourmet gluten-free thin crust.  We had an amazing pizza with figs, gorgonzola, prosciutto and arugula.  I am literally still dreaming about this.  Get it if you live in Pa!

As an early Christmas present my mom got a print she had given us framed in an awesome reclaimed wood frame.  I am so in love with this beachy beauty and can't wait to hang her!  I love grown-up art.

Maggie came home from her little stay in the vet with a nice cone.  It's like having a baby, carrying her everywhere and taking the cone off to feed her and give her water.  She has the saddest little face constantly.  I can't wait until she is feeling like herself again.  I'm such a sucker for a sad pup!

Since I have been really good about sticking to my diet during the week I have been using Saturday and Sunday to treat myself to Starbucks.  Greyson is obsessed with the cups (I only give them to him when they are empty obvs.)

We finally did all of our Christmas decorating last night.  We got the kids their own little tree for their ornaments and they loved decorating it... and taking all of the ornaments right back off.  I have a feeling there will be a lot of casualties this holiday season.

We ended our weekend watching The Grinch in front of the fire with some hot chocolate.  So holiday-esque and so perfect.

Hope you have a fabulous day!

  1. Sounds like a great weekend!! I'm in desperate need of a mani/pedi too! Your tree looks great- I love that you got the kids their own tree they can decorate and undecorate as much as they want :)

    1. The kids are loving their tree but we may have already had to retire an ornament or two...
