Cleanse Update

Today I want to chat about the 24 Day Challenge Cleanse.  It is almost over and I wanted to check in on how I feel (minus a sinus infection) so I can remind myself why I'm doing this!  My energy is through the roof.  And that is all without my usual partner in crime, coffee.  I still crave coffee, but mostly for the smell and taste I think.  Maybe this coffee scented candle would help that?  But energy-wise, I'm like a different person.  I feel less grumpy and when I wake up I don't feel like a zombie.  I wake up awake.  It's a great feeling!  My workouts have been more intense and I feel better going into them and after them.  There is nothing worse than slogging through a workout you don't really want to be doing.  I also am fitting in my clothes way better than I was post-holidays!  I love eating clean, too.  I feel so much better, my skin looks better and I just feel lighter and happier when I know what I am putting in my body!  These are some of my typical meals...

Green smoothie

Two eggs, half a banana, scoop of guacamole

Oats, slivered almonds, banana, blueberries, cinnamon and liquid stevia

Tuna and white bean salad with tomatoes, avocado, and onion on endives (made with some olive oil)

Crockpot balsamic chicken and brown rice

Turkey meatballs and kale slaw

My lunches have pretty much been leftovers from our dinners the night before.  I don't think I have made a separate lunch yet and I am fine with that.  It makes my life so much easier!

I snack on a lot of veggies and fresh fruit and these oatmeal balls/cookies.

Bananas, oats, natural nut butter, flax and cinnamon

Pinterest has been my go-to for finding tasty clean recipes.  Other than that I have been doing a lot of playing around.  I think my tastebuds have come down off their sugar cookie binge and have a newfound love for veggies (yay!)  PLEASE send all recipes my way!
