Wino Wednesday Linkup And Easy Fried Rice Quinoa

It's Wino Wednesday time!  This may or may not be my favorite day of the month...  I am cohosting the link-up with Amanda and Jessi.  Pour a glass and link on up below!  Check out all of the fabulous blogs for delicious wines to try! I know I will be writing them down and running out to Total Wines...

My latest wine obsession has been Chenin Blanc, ever since my friend Helen introduced me to it.  As a former Riesling and Moscato lover turned sweet wine hater, this was the perfect in between.  It really is a slightly sweeter Sauvignon Blanc and crisper Riesling.  It is my new favorite Summer wine.  I have tried a few and some are definitely sweeter than others, but I am loving this Nederburg bottle.  It isn't expensive, which is a plus, and it tastes so light and refreshing.  Go get yourself a bottle!

It's best enjoyed outdoors...  or with this super easy quinoa fried rice I made!

I made one cup of quinoa.  While it cooked I sauteed a bunch of diced shrimp, scrambled some eggs, and steamed some pees.  I heated a few teaspoons of olive oil in a skillet, added the quinoa, shrimp, peas, eggs, some scallions, soy sauce and Sriracha and cooked it for about five minutes.  Super easy and the perfect pair for a delicious Chenin Blanc!

Cheers friends!
