Life Lately

Happy Thursday lovelies!  This week... it's been a week! The week started off with my birthday, which I was so lucky to celebrate at a brunch hosted by a dear friend (her house, epitome of perfection!) and a family dinner, and a lovely sinus infection to wrap it all up.  The rest of this week has been a blur, literally, my sinuses are are making me feel like the room is spinning, and getting ready to finish the week off tomorrow, with Avery's birthday.  I can't believe my little lady is six.  I know I say this every year, but WHERE DOES TIME GO.

I love wine, but lately I have been trying to change it up and ordering cocktails instead.  I swear, the lack of sugar from the wine makes a difference (not that I drink that much!)  and I like trying new things.  I also, really like lemon.

We went apple picking over the weekend and the kids had so much fun! I made this apple oatmeal crockpot concoction and it was so tasty!

I got treated to a fabulous birthday brunch on Monday and it was so much fun!  Getting together with girlfriends is the best way to spend any day, especially when there is delicious food involved!  If I have learned anything this year, it's that I am so lucky to meet the people I have.  It's people that make a place a home.

Me and my birthday babe.  I love sharing a birthday week with her!

And I can't forget this guy... he is an emotional wreck every day when Avery gets on the bus.  Moms, how do I deal with this?  It's a few years until he gets to go with her.  Also, I am obsessed with having a window seat and need to hunt down the perfect fabric to make a cushion for it! All recommendations welcome!

Have a fabulous day!
xo

Apple picking looks so fun, and I have to check that oatmeal out.

  12. Happy birthday!! The brunch looks gorgeous! My little guy is sooo bored when his brother leaves. On the other hand my older guy is so jealous of anything I do while he is in school. I'm working on finding bench cushions too - will you have them custom made? I need to find a place to make them.
