I am a firm believer in having a great dry shampoo in your beauty rotation. I depend on mine more than any other product I own (for real!) I milk my blowouts for as long as possible, usually going three or four days until my next wash. I work out at least four days a week, so I can't just go on my way with a good brushing. It is so much better for your hair, especially if you dye it like I do, to go as long as possible without washing and heat styling. Dry shampoo is the best tool to help avoid both of these, although I do run the straightener through my hair on days I don't wash it.
I spray a tiny bit of the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day dry shampoo at the roots of my hair in four places: underneath my hair by my ears up to my temple on both sides, the top of my head around the center part, and underneath around the entire top of my forehead. I generally only spray a little bit because it goes a long way with this specific type of dry shampoo. If I am going on day four, I will spray a little bit on the very back of the top of my head as well. I let it sit for 3-5 minutes, then using either my Wet Brush or a soft bristle brush, brush it through until it disappears. I get a little more body out of it when I use the Wet Brush, but the soft bristle makes it disappear faster and more easily.
I am such a huge fan of the Living Proof brand. If you check the Skin Deep Cosmetics Database to see how good or bad a brand is for you, Living Proof falls in the middle, not the red (bad) side. The scent is also amazing, if you're a big fan of things that smell good. Avery always asks what the smell is when I use it, and tells me how much she likes it. There's no more discerning taste than that of a seven year old girl.
You can purchase the full size dry shampoo for $22 or test it out with the travel size for $12. I have both, because I cannot travel without this stuff! Have you tried the LP Dry Shampoo? What do you think?

Sweater: Target | Shoes: Sam Edelman (on sale) | Leggings: Hue, similar here | Bag: Louis Vuitton Speedy | Pendant Necklace: Kendra Scott | Necklace: via Etsy | Sunglasses: Amazon
Is a faux poncho a thing? I'm guessing it's not, but I can't think of any other way to describe this sweater. It's a fantastically random Target find that looks way pricier than it is (under $25!) I love the fit and cut of it, and it works just as well paired with leggings as it does with a pair of jeans. While I was looking for this, I found a ton of other great sweaters Target has in stock right now and rounded them up below. When Target is good, it's real good.

I wanted to share my new favorite hair washing essentials with you ladies today. I have been a big fan of Living Proof for a while, but I recently switched to the No Frizz formula Shampoo and Conditioner and I am extra obsessed! I can't foresee myself using another shampoo and conditioner anytime soon. This definitely keeps my frizz at bay, whether I am drying my hair straight or air drying curly. My second and third day hair definitely has less frizz than before too. Those are the days that I am usually adding in major dollops of serum and spray to keep the tiny frizzies at the top of my head at bay, but no more! The Living Proof products are sulfate, oil and silicone-free, making them a huge win in my safer product book!
My mom gifted me with a Mason Pearson comb last year and it has become a huge favorite for me and Avery. I was a solid believer in the wide tooth until I met this baby. Even with the teeth so close together, it combs through easily and gets knots out. Avery has extremely knotty hair and this has been making a huge difference post bath or shower for her. It's also great for using when you're straightening your hair with an iron and want it stick straight, and for teasing.
The pink alligator clips (thanks Amanda for the great find!) are perfect for holding your hair up while you style it and not getting a crease. If your hair is long enough they also hold a loose bun in place easily. These are seriously so awesome!
I use every one of these products daily right now and love them! I use them on Avery too, because at seven, she is getting real hair that is thick and wavy. She is giving her two thumbs up, seal of approval too!
What are some other great products that I am missing out on? Let me know! Thank you for reading and have a fabulous day! -xx

Happy almost Friday lovelies! I finally (sort of) have my act back together this week and am verrrrry slowly digging my way out of my hole. What hole you ask? The hole that is life. J/K. Kind of. Pour me another glass of wine!
Now that I am onto the hardcore wrapping stage of the holidays, I have been what you would call "treating yoself" to myself. I may be doing this a bit too much, but with a girls' trip coming up, parties to hit, and sales too good to pass up, I have been doing some damage without majorly breaking the bank.
While I love a darker palette for Winter, I am also loving pastels big time. Contrasting bags (and shoes) and loads of feminine neutrals paired with dainty gold jewelry is basically ma thang lately. Maybe I should ma thang not typing train of thought, or in the exact way I speak.
So to wrap up all of this shopping randomness, it's time to think about others AND yourself! Happy shopping you lovely babes you!

A gift guide post all about mugs? Yes, you read that right friends. Maybe it's just me, but mugs and travel mugs are one of the best gifts to give and receive. I get at least one a year and I love them all. I never buy them for myself, but I always need them! Drinking coffee out of a cute mug or tumbler makes ALL of the difference to me!
I love picking out a super cute tumbler or mug to gift to a friend and always get so happy when I see them using it! Note to my husband: you can get me any of these for Christmas and I will be very happy about it!
Thank you for reading and happy shopping! -xx
