Beauty Favorites

Fun fact about me: I am a beauty product and makeup hoarder.  I have to force myself to purge them pretty frequently, and they are one of my favorite things to shop for.  There is nothing like a fresh pot of foundation or a brand new mascara, to make you feel extra put together.  My likes and dislikes seem to change pretty frequently, and definitely seasonally.  Here is what I am loving right now:

clockwise from top left

RMS Beauty Living Luminizer - I love this brand and their commitment to non-toxic ingredients.  A tiny dab of this goes a long way.  I put it on the tops of my check bones for a little glow.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara - I picked this mascara up at Sephora last week when I went in for They're Real and they were sold out.  This was a little less pricey, but it gives great volume.  The length isn't really there, but volume is usually my go-to priority and I get that with one coat.

Trish McEvoy Intense Gel Eyeliner - I own this in a few colors, but Arabian Nights (a dark navy) is my go-to lately.  This glides on so smooth and easily, almost like a liquid liner.  It stays put all day, which is my favorite part.  I have used it in my crease as well, and blended it.  If you want to blend for a smokey look, you can do it right after you put it on.  This is hands down my favorite eyeliner ever and I cannot say enough good things about it.

Trish McEvoy Blush - I have this in the Natural color.  I got it when I decided I just could not make Nars' Orgasm work on me (way too dark.)  This goes on much lighter than it looks, and just is such a gorgeous color on.  I wasn't having it at first look, but I am glad I listened to the sales associate, because you can layer it on for more intense color, and it is flattering on everyone.

Mac Eyeshadow in Orb - This shadow has been my base for basically everything the last couple of weeks.  It is a great light neutral that every crease color (grey, brown, blue, purple) works with.  I love it and will continue to buy it because of its versatility.

What are you guys loving lately?  I just ordered some new skincare and have a couple more beauty products to try out that I will share next week!

Have a fabulous day!

  3. I use the MAC Orb almost every day too! It's so perfect! Even my mom uses it and we're completely different skin tones. I'm going to have to look for that luminizer. Perfect for that every day glow!

  5. I haven't tried any of these but now I want to try everything! I wasn't a big fan of NARS Orgasm blush either. I had the opposite problem - I felt like it didn't show up on my skin at all! I do love the Orgasm lip gloss though, that is good stuff. Can't wait to hear what you just ordered!

  6. That MAC eyeshadow and mascara packaging are so pretty, I'd buy them both on that alone :-P

I also wasn't a fan of the NARS Orgasm blush, I was very underwhelmed by the color and pigmentation. Plus I hit the pan pretty quickly which was upsetting considering the cost.
