FriYAY!

It's Friday the 13th!  Who is spooked?!  Not me!  I actually think there is something lucky about Fridays that fall on the 13th, maybe because my parents met on one and I wouldn't be here without it?   Back to Friday, and linking up with Amanda to share what's awesome this week!

This Organized Board/Work Station

Best Dressed
Taylor Swift's Grammy gown and shoes were to die for! I would never think that this shade could look so stunning and the pop of pink just makes it.  It's different, fun, and surprisingly chic.  Nailed it TSwizzle!

Coconut Oil

Speaking of Amanda, I decided to start moisturizing with Coconut Oil just to see if it works as well as she said in her dry skin post.  It does.  I was shocked!  It goes on almost like an oil, but dries right away and packs a ton of moisture, especially on my Sahara skin.  I also love it for cooking, in coffee, and now as an all-over body moisture.  Best new beauty product find!

Best Drink
After reading about matcha green tea powder and all of its benefits (energy, crazy amounts of antioxidants, boosts metabolism, and on and on.)  Seriously, google this stuff your mind will be blown.  I am planning an entire post on this in the future.  But I digree, a teaspoon, some almond milk and one of these whisks and an easy matcha latte could be all yours.  I have basically quit coffee and just drink this instead.  I put 1/2 teaspoon of matcha in a bowl with 2-4 ounces hot water and whisk.  I add eight ounces of unsweetened almond milk and a few dashes of stevia and shake it in a blender bottle.  Easy and healthy!

Bootcut Jeans
As much as I love a good pair of skinny jeans, bootcut are making their way back!  These are what is pictured, but I also love thesethese and these.  I scoured the mall for a pair I love with no luck this week, so I may just order a pair online.  I love this style with a pair of pointy toed pumps - makes my 2004 loving heart happy.

What are you loving this week?

Have a fabulous weekend and stay warm!

  5. OMG! You just made my day. Am I the only one that HATES skinny jeans? They only look good on Kate Moss or tucked into boots. They make everyday women look so hippy and chunky. HATED IT.

  10. I need to try that green tea. I'm always trying to find new ways to get some energy instead of drinking coffee. Nothing works as well as coffee tho. lol

  13. Taylor KILLED it. Also, have you tried coconut oil to whiten your teeth? I keep reading about it as a quicker way than white strips! I will definitely purchase it now that you are raving about it as a moisturizer. xo

  14. Im glad you discovered how great coconut oil is for beautifying! I discovered it when I was preg with Emily and looking for a natural way to cleanse my face and keep breakouts at bay. It also happens to be remarkable at preventing stretch marks. I can't wait till you post more about the matcha green tea powder. It sounds amazing and giving up coffee would be great for me. xo
