This month, I went with something familiar - as in the name. I saw Grayson Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon at my regular wine stop (after Avery's ballet class - it's downstairs!) and picked it up, because I am cheesy like that. I almost always chose my wines based on labels and names. Talking about judging a book by its cover (bottle by its label?)
Minus, the misspelling, the wine was great! It's a mid-priced wine depending on the store and the year. I love Cabernet Sauvignon, and this was delicious! This winemaker's notes include "a rich nose of blackberry, raspberries, and hints of black pepper. This intense Cabernet is full of artful fruit, provides a round mouth feel and a soft, lingering finish with hints of toasted French oak. " It's smooth and subtle and definitely delicious when chilled.
