Wino Wednesday

Happy Wino Wednesday!  I am so excited to be co-hosting this with Amanda and Katie.  It's time to grab a glass, and sit back, sip and chat about what wine you're loving this month.  Just grab the button, write about whatever sip you're loving and link up!

This month, I went with something familiar - as in the name.  I saw Grayson Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon at my regular wine stop (after Avery's ballet class - it's downstairs!) and picked it up, because I am cheesy like that.  I almost always chose my wines based on labels and names.  Talking about judging a book by its cover (bottle by its label?)

Minus, the misspelling, the wine was great! It's a mid-priced wine depending on the store and the year.  I love Cabernet Sauvignon, and this was delicious!  This winemaker's notes include "a rich nose of blackberry, raspberries, and hints of black pepper. This intense Cabernet is full of artful fruit, provides a round mouth feel and a soft, lingering finish with hints of toasted French oak. "  It's smooth and subtle and definitely delicious when chilled.

Cheers friends!

  2. Haha I pick by the labels too. So far you've done Josh and now Grayson - we need an Avery or Lindsay wine next ;). This wine sounds so good and something I'd pick out too. So happy to have you doing the linkup with me!!

  3. Oh I totally judge my wines by their covers- haha! And I can guarantee if there was a bottle sporting my little guys name, I'd be all over that! But it sounds like this was a good but all around - bookmarking this for the future!

  4. I almost always choose my wines based on the labels as well ;-)

And I was never big on cabernets, but I've recently started enjoying them more. I also like to chill my reds, it doesn't have as much of a bite that way.

  5. I really like Grayson Cellars! I've never had their cab (usually I'm more of a white wine girl) but I'm definitely going to have to give this a try! And I totally pick my wines based on bottle/label. :)
