Workout: Spin

Today I am trying something a little different, and talking about workouts.  There are two reasons for this, one being that I love working out and it is a large part of who I am, and two, because I need to motivate and keep myself accountable.  Who better to do that with than all of my blog babes who are constantly inspiring me!

This week it is all about SPIN! I started spinning a little over a year ago with a friend and became instantly addicted.  It gives you such an amazing endorphin high (endorphins make you happy, happy people don't just kill their husbands - go!)  and forces you to go beyond your limits.  Generally, the music is awesome and you get into a total groove.  I had to put it on hold when I had my surgery on my leg last Summer and have had a hard time getting myself back into it, save for the occasional class or two.  I miss it and I am determined to get it back into my weekly schedule on a regular basis, starting this week!

  1. I love spinning too but mostly because it's an incredible workout where the teacher motivates you to push yourself and peer pressure prevents you from slacking off! It's efficient and fun and actually feels like a workout once you're done versus say an hour Pilates class!

  2. Love love LOVE spinning! Unfortunately, I haven't been to a spin class in years since I "quit the gym". I do all my workouts at home with my elliptical/running outside/Jillian Michaels, and I go to the complimentary yoga classes at work and shell out the cash for Barre here and there. But I miss spin so much, probably my favorite workout ever!

    So yes, I love this post gurlie. Keep up the awesome work :-D

  4. I've never gone to spin class but I've heard amazing things about it!
    Also, your picture makes me cold seeing all of that snow in the background! lol

  5. I used to spin several times a week but now I've taken my cycling outside to change it up a bit. I definitely love spinning though! It's such a great workout!

  6. Haha I love that quote, I use it way too often. I've never tried spin, I usually go for something like a dance infused workout, like Zumba.

  8. You know the first workouts I ever taught were spin and I loved it! That is why I'm addicted to techno if you can't tell because I use to obsess over making my spin playlists. There is no other endorphin workout high then being done with a spin class. I want to get back into it but ahhhhhh time!
