Wino Wednesday

It's my favorite day of the month (besides yesterday!) Wino Wednesday!  Amanda and I are so happy to have Christina co-hosting with us this month as we sip our favorite wines and link up to talk about them.  Also, a few ladies have been doing wine fail posts which I think are so awesome! No one wants to waste their money on a stank wine, so if you don't like it, go ahead and share it too!

Now it is time to drink up and link up! And remember, always drink responsibly!

Since it is apparently the most intense Fall weather in good old New Jersey - we are talking 40's and 50's - red wine has been in heavy rotation for me (pre and post cleanse.)  I have to say, doing a cleanse and taking a week off of any wine, makes it taste so much better after.  You sip it and appreciate it so much more when you can't have it (just like pregnancy.)

I have been sipping on this T Morte Carmenere for a little bit, and it's very interesting.  I can't find any information on it anywhere.  It is a Chilean wine, and it's got a lot of smoke and spice to it.  This isn't something I would normally go for, but Josh had bought the bottle so I thought why not?  In this weather, the smoky, spicy tones of this wine are perfect.  It just screams "drink me by a fire" and trust me, I listened.  If you prefer a heavier red, something similar to a Shiraz, I recommend this.  It's the perfect Fall sip!

Now it's your turn!  Link up below and don't forget, we will have the link up open the first Wednesday of every month.  Next month's link up will go live November 4th.

Cheers to a fabulous day! -xx

  5. I can't believe the weather has dropped so fast for you guys, wow! My MIL loves Carmenere, so I'll have to be on the look out for this bottle and buy one for her and one for me. I'm still dreaming about the Josh wine, I need to get more - SO good! xo

  8. It seems like you guys went from summer to winter and skipped right over fall - sending some warmth your way. But yessss to red wine when it's chilly, there's just something so warming and cozy about it <3

  10. I did a smoky dark cab this month for fall too. It does say, sip me by the fire with a blanket wrapped around the shoulders. Thanks for hosting.
